When my race car partner and I, and our wonderful group of volunteers, were building this car, I was the wiring monkey since I was a little skinnier and more flexible than he was.

We were very meticulous in preparation, every wiring circuit was a different color, and the proper gage size for the circuit load. A lot of the wiring occured behind the dash, where we bundled the wires from the various switched circuits and secured them with zip-ties.

One of his pet peeves was that the tail remnant of every zip-tie be clipped clean. Drove him crazy when I would tell him (actually truthfully) that I had left one tail on the bundle under the dash (where he couldn't see it).
