..I have not changed anything since the date of the original post, yesterday the connection pop-up finally slowed (it would show if I was logged in or not, as there are less pop up issues when not logged in), today no connection pop-up window yet, still significant wait for any functions to work, typing, pages moving, etc, etc..

I used to use a microsoft type IE (chrome) and using it I could not even get this page to load, had to switch to Mozilla to be able to get on here, not going to switch back now for just this one site, when any other place I visit I have no issues.

I did switch to the firefox ad blocker, don't see a difference here as of yet, will try it out on the PB torrent site..

    5-6min to type this..

Something you can try if all else fails.
    Reset Internet Explorer settings
    1. Close all Internet Explorer windows. ...
    2. Select the Advanced tab, and then select Reset.
    3. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, select Reset.
    4. When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, select Close, and then select OK.

..they only change I made was to turn off my ad blocker (have since removed it) and used the one listed in this topic..

..touch wood, it has made a significant difference, the page takes a half second to load, but at least there are no more annoying ads along the top of the page, as well as others, that can be seen in my screen shots..

Well this has/is(?) still been an issue..? I am on my lap top now, weird, but I haven't checked it in a while, so I cannot be sure.

I have not been able to get this webpage to load, a white blank page would load saying:

"The owners of www.diecastcrazy.com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

TLS certificates issued by Symantec are no longer trusted by Firefox. Website operators are strongly encouraged to replace any remaining Symantec TLS certificates as soon as possible."

I cannot find the screen shots that I saved, cannot recall the name I called them.

I didn't go back and read this thread, but somewhere in this thread, or in another thread, I think that I posted a fix to this issue (it might have been something else, just cannot recall) but I tried that fix over and over these past few months and nothing has worked.

I can get here with my Samsung phone and the wife's Samsung tablet, it is just way to(o) small to read, I also tried it with my friends laptop (he has windows 10 running Mozilla) with out any issue.

Since my desktop has died way back when, (I still haven't built a new one) I am using my Toshiba laptop that ran on Vista and Mozilla, which I always had issues with getting here. I have since replaced the optical drive with a solid state drive and loaded it with windows 7, from a disc that I had bought when I built my last desk top. I had issues off and on.

A while back I found out that I still had some vista programs on my laptop? not sure how as I replaced the drive and did a fresh new install of windows 7, one would think that all the vista stuff would be gone. Over the past few weeks I have removed all of those that I can tell. I have also deleted windows IE and media player. All that I can tell that is left is the widgets from a side panel, still working on removing those if needed.

Jerry sent me a PM that I got an email on, so like a good lemming without thinking I clicked on it (while on my laptop) and low and behold this webpage loads?o_O

I am not sure what I did, changed and or deleted to make it load. There have been a few Mozilla updates since that last time I was able to log in, but I don't recall if I checked to see if I could get here or not.

Way back when I was using windows 98 (so it was the same as my work) with their IE and it wouldn't load, so I switched to Mozilla to be able to get this page to load.

Right now with windows 7 and Mozilla I don't have any issues with any webpage but for this one. Maybe something to do with the left over vista junk? or getting rid of windows IE..?

My adblocker is on and running.

I am in no mood to change to another IE since this is the only page I have issues with, and with the meds that I am taking I am high as f***.:dead:

Anyway, just thought I would put it out just in case it comes in handy one day.

By this "page" you mean the whole forum right?

We did reconfigure out SSL certificate some time ago, so that might have to do with any changes you've seen. When you come to the site and it gives you trouble, how do you do so? By bookmark or my email notification always?

Sorry, yes the whole forum, correct.

I get here by bookmark, I just happened to click on the link from the PM message email, but I tried that before, saving a new bookmark, it didn't do anything that I really noticed, but I didn't really look at it in detail.

Seems to be working now, a bit slow, maybe because of the ad blocker? But it isn't that slow that it takes minutes to load the pages. So not really bothered about it.

I'd log off and try to log back in, delete cookies, but I want to creep around some more first before I try that.

    I would suggest 2 things

First, double check that your bookmark is configured right. The main thing to look for is if the "s" in "https" is present. If it's not, then the certificate might not deploy right which can generate a lot of errors.

Second, try deleting and reinstalling your adblocker. This was a fix that worked sometime ago after we uploaded a new security patch that caused a snag with adblockers. Mostly, it was reported with UBlock (if I remember right). If deleting and reinstalling doesn't work, final suggestion would be to try a different blocker entirely.

If none of that works, we'll try something else

The bookmarks work either way, without the "s" it still takes me to the main page, with the "s" takes me to the same page.

I run Adblock Plus, I reinstalled it, will see how that goes.

One thing that I notice is that when not logged in, the pages load faster, when logged in it takes that extra minute to load, which happened in the past as well, I think I mentioned that before.

    Thanks in advance!

They will work either way, and typically once the SSL certificate has deployed once it will auto deploy regardless of how you type it in, until you clear cookies and cache.

But even if it works without the "s", it would be better to never load the site without it. Either there are glitches running beneath the surface, or you end up on the site without the security certificate in place which makes you less protected

I'm taking a risk apparently by posting right now, but this needs addressed immediately. The WEBSITE NOT CONFIGURED PROPERLY error is coming up when I navigate to this site. I've done all of the troubleshooting steps you've outlined in this thread, so I know it's not on my end. Thanks and please fix this issue for our members and I.
