I've tried different computers, different wifi spots and this site is always slow. Pages fail to load and its getting to be a hassle to come on. I love the community here, but I'm not sure how much I'll be around if this continues.

Sorry to hear that. Could be something is causing a snag in the loading process.

Can you tell me what browser you are using? Chrome is loading pretty fast for me

Clearing out your cookies and cache might improve performance as well. Give that a try

..yeah I have to agree, it is getting pretty bad..

..I only have 2mb for a setting in my cache and I clear it daily. My history is cleared once a week.

..whether I am on my microsoft 7 desktop or laptop, my android phone, it is always the same.

I use Mozilla, and it is only here, on this website that I have these issues.

I keep my flash player updated all the time as well as updates to mozilla.

When I use IE or chrome, and cannot even get onto this site, ever, but I have no issue going to any other site, that is the reason why I switched to Mozilla, so I can get on here..

I have noticed that past month or so has been noticeably slow. Specifically, yesterday and this morning I have actually had to close the browser and reopen for pages to open. I'm currently using IE 11.

canuck617canuck617 those 2 screenshots you posted might be clues to what's causing a slow down. They both have a different message along the bottom of the screen which shows what's loading. I'm wondering, do those 2 messages come up the most and do they linger on the screen? Want to confirm before I get my tech guys to take a look.

jim43fanjim43fan with IE, can you try adding the site to it's compatibility settings? IE is starting to show it's age, so Microsoft added this to help it work smoother with sites designed for more updated browsers. To add it on go to the settings menu in the top corner of you browser (the one shaped liked a Gear), and select Compatibility View Settings. Then add the site to the list. Let me know how that goes

I use safari on my MacBook Pro Retina and the past 6 months or so the loading speed has decreased significantly. Usually I remedy it by refreshing or opening a new tab and trying again. It's not so much the speed that's an issue, it's when the page won't load at all for me. For example, I'll be in the media section and it will just flatline and I'll have to give up and try again in 5 minutes or so

    Kevin,

it is like a naughty girls knickers, it is all over the place..

..sometimes the site is lightning fast (as it is at the time of writing this reply), sometimes so terribly slow..

..the messages on the bottom of the screen seem to stay there, but I wasn't looking that close at those as to the one(s) that come pop-up under the address bar (top of the screen), those fire off repeatedly like a machine gun until they stop so I can take a screen shot..

..but when the site is slow, those messages on the bottom seem to pop-up all the time, but I cannot give you a true definitive answer on that..

If it happens again I will try to get more screen shots for you, or at least a list of what I see.

    Thanks in advance!!

So that one lingered and the page was slow? Any others?

Couple last things before ticket time: next time you get a slow down can you try switching browsers? Want to see if it's specific to Firefox (or if you've already tried that let me know). Can you also tell me your time zone? Tech says it may help track down the cause if it's coming from an ad

The lightening fast ones are doing what they are supposed to.

Really? Well that sounds like a bigger, but possibly separate problem. First things first I guess, ticket time for slow down.

    Case #2427617

What happens when you try to use those other browsers? Does the site just not load at all, or is the site unusable.

..would not load at all, but that was a while back. Would have to look on this site as I did post something about it and then did the switch. Hasn't been an issue until just recently..

..I don't want to load ie and chrome on my laptop, it only has so much space with 250gb ssd, as I am using it until I finish building my new desktop, still waiting on the MB that I ordered..

Have you tried using Opera? It's been a pretty reliable browser for me. I've also heard good things about Vivaldi. Opera is an established name but Vivaldi didn't come around until 2015.

I still seems to be having the same issues. Yesterday was pretty bad. I had to close the browser window a few times for items to reload or post. There have been a few times where it would simply not allow me to post items. If I closed the window, and tried again it would then go through. I have no idea past that. If you have any other questions or suggestions, I'd be up for it. Thanks.

I will say it again, when I have to or want to see photos that are loaded from Photo Bucket, or w/the photo loader here, and then they line up in a grid on the page, when I click on them to view them, my PC runs and runs. Sometimes after what seems like forever they open, OR they do not at all. I usually give up and have since quit trying. I always copy and paste my photos to assure that there will be no issues and the viewer can see them immediately......I love and am too attached to this page and the members to leave, BUT I get QUITE frustrated......

..ugh, photobucket, should be thrown in the bucket..

..I have a dedicated picture storage drive, much easier to set my own storage directory, move, edit. I use google+, photos and drive to share pics with my family, way easier to use..

..I find that it is easier to load the pages when not logged in, when logged in the pages take longer to load..
