Here is my first shot at wrapping a diecast and gee golly was it ever fun! Based on the real world wrap I designed and installed for the 2014 Dirt Pro Stock track champ at one of our local dirt venues. Figured it would be fun to try and was I totally correct! Let's just say there will be many more being fabbed over the winter months, that's for sure!

Here are a few pics of the 'ol girl. There might even be a sneak peak of my second real world re-cre wrap hidden among them:

Look for more custom 1:24 race wraps from ADA Customs soon! Also, thanks for the view, you rock!

typically costs $10-15 for standard decal sheets I just wonder how cost effective this is...I know wraps can get pricey...I've weighed this option as alps stuff becomes quite scarce.

Thanks for your interest and curiosity New2. To sum it all up and avoid boring you into a coma this process actually isn't that pricey at all. As with most customs, the manual labor put into producing the gem is what defines the most value. The benefit with my process, however, is fully customizable graphics with far less manufacturing time. Oh and just like any other custom creation, it is fun as all get out to make!

ok...so...are we talking five bucks more, double the cost or more...I do artwork on the same level, I do my own printing and application/paint/strip etc...Just curious what the basics are. Having done some standard vehicle wrap process...my cost using a vendor is around $40 for a 12x12 decal. Wondered what the manufacturing costs really are...not a 'happy is he who makes his own work' story...not a big deal.
