Former WWE Diva Search winner and Playboy cover model Ashley Massaro was officially released by World Wrestling Entertainment this afternoon. Massaro claimed on her MySpace.com page last week that she had requested the release due to her daughter being in bad health. Massaro had been dogged by several injuries during her WWE run and was embroiled in allegations that she worked for a high-priced escort service prior to her WWE run in a recent Rolling Stone article.
