Umaga Released from WWE Smackdown

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Umaga as of today, June 8, 2009. WWE wishes Umaga the best in all future endeavors. WOW, didn't see that one coming.

Vince has been in a really bad mood lately and everyone is said to be on pins and needles for obvious reasons. Vince was said to be very upset at the latest injury to Batista. He will be out 4 months or so with a torn biceps tendon hence the injury angle from RAW. Some sources say that Umaga had asked for his release but I say there is more to the story. He just returned and was getting a push then boom......fired. I know he got into a scuffle at a bar in Florida a while back but I don't think he had very much if any heat on him from management for that incident. There has been quite a lot of changes as of late with the departures of Kennedy, Vickie, and Umaga, the return of Triple H and Chris Masters, the heel turn of CM Punk, and the injury to Batista.

Vickie Guerrero gave her notice a few weeks back. She is said to be tired of the travel and looking to spend more time with her daughters. She was written out on Monday's show.

Batista was actually injured going into his PPV match this past Sunday against Randy Orton. Knowing that, I was a bit surprised that WWE decided to put the title on big Dave anyway. Now he is having surgery and will be out around 4 months so they did the injury angle on this past Monday's RAW to explain his absence.

They said that Batista got the title cause Vince wanted a clean win in the Cage Match. It didnt make sense for Orton to get the better of Batista every week and then pin him cleanly. Especially when Batista was fighting "for Flair"
