Bobby Lashley Continues His MMA Career

Former WWE Star Bobby Lashley improved his Mixed Martial Arts record to 3-0 with a quick victory over Mike Cook at last night's Maximum Fighting Championship 21 event in Alberta, Canada. It only took Lashley 24 seconds to land a right hand a secure a guillotine choke. Cook attempted to break out, went limp, and the fight was stopped.

Apparently, Cook's strategy to get under Lashley's skin backfired. Cook, who was 6-3 going into this fight, wore a Rey Mysterio mask to the weigh-in and the fight, and did Hulk Hogan poses, mocking Lashley's pro wrestling career.
Lashley's next fight is scheduled for June 27th at the Ultimate Chaos event in Biloxi, Mississippi. He won't have to worry about that opponent making fun of his wrestling career, since his opponent is Bob Sapp (10-3-1), who became a mainstream sensation in Japan while working both MMA fights and pro wrestling bouts. Sapp also gained some attention for his role in the Adam Sandler remake of "The Longest Yard".

The fight really sucked. There was like 4 punches thrown. Lashley got him in the choke and made him just about pass out. Glad to see him win though.
