Winner's Circle chase pieces

It looks like WC is putting out a few of chase/limited edition pieces this year. I just found the Earnhardt 1st Hendrick Motorsports Win at Meijer...it was in a mix of 2009 Schedule Hoods and was buy 1 get 1 free!! The front says 1 of 3469 and the back of the card says:

"Collect the Complete Set - Joey Logano 2008 1st Win, Dale Earnhardt Jr. 2008 1st Hendrick Motorsports Win, Kyle Busch 2008 M&Ms Multi Win Season"

Below that it says:

"Join the chase for these limited edition pieces along with other one-of-a-kind pieces that will be offered as the 2009 race season unfolds."

Is it just special packaging or are they race win versions?

Oh who cares about these still mass produced to me. Besides I liked when they did the team authentics series much better! This is a crock to make people wanna think they are getting something rare.

For a company that mass produces cars, technically, its a RARE Winners Circle car.

It's better than the Disney Pixar Cars chase cars - 1 of 20,000, or the Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts that everyone goes nuts about - regular hunts have to be well over 10,000 pieces. It's just a way to try to boost sales.

Well for once I am going to defend Action/MA and not bash them, I think this is a good thing. It's not your every day item and yet they are not rare enough to make you feel like you'll never find them, or to support scalpers! I looked weekly for Team Authentics and the various Racing Champions chase cars-at multiple stores-and I only ever found ONE.

Who cares how many are made, as long as you enjoy owning them?

I probably still won't buy them, but mainly because I know I will get the exact same car from my local shop, and not have to chase them with the possibility of not finding them. And I could not care less about packaging so that makes no difference to me, just the car itself. But I applaud Action for doing it.

See my thing is I enjoy looking for something I may never find. Why? Because I might get lucky and I have I found a Jr. TA brand new and I have found I think 2-3 Chase pieces from RC. All on accident. If I can go to any Wal-Mart and see more then 2 of these they aren't rare to me. But then I won't go to Wally and probably see any of them since they still had 08's and I only really have 3 Wally's here that aren't a waste of time to get too.

its like with those special paint 2 packs target has they're supposed to be 5,000 of each and the targets i've seen them at still have plenty sitting on the self not selling.i know in beckett sports monthly people ask about the edition sizes and they say any run over 1,000 is alot on the market.thats why alot of cars values stay around retail prices or as i've seen at collector shows sell for way less.
