Default 1/43 Winners Circle at Toys R US

Blazer posted this on our sister site Winner's Circle Collection - The Authority on Winner's Circle diecast.

Quote:
Hello again fellow members...hopefully all is well with you! At a local Toys-R-Us today I found a few new items...three new 2009 1/43 scale cars (Gordon Dupont, Earnhardt Jr. Amp and Stewart Office Depot). The new 1/43 cars come in a display box similar to the 1/24's and they have blacked out windows instead of clear windows. I also found a new two-car 1/64 set including a hood with Dale Earnhardt and Elvis. All of the cars were priced at $9.99 each. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on the new stuff that has hit around the Cleveland, Ohio area.

1/43-- the oddball scale has made it's return, with black windows. I don't think that the BWB's from the old days are hold any value, so what makes MA think these things will do any better? Horrible idea. They may be hot initially because they're new, but I predict they'll flame out quickly.

Same paint shemes as the 1/64th and 1/24th. Black windows, odd ball scale, yea Karl I think you are 100% correct. MA has got their heads up their @$$^$. It only means anything to those of us that seriously collect WC brand diecast and even then, I could have lived without them for sure. Would have far rather seen a Harvick or some new paint schemes in 1/64th or 1/24th than the same ole same ole that MA/WC is getting to be known for. Same think just different trinket or package, or scale. SO SO SAD! They could do so much with the WC brand ard are to lazy to research what the collectors really want!
