I know I posted something similar to this, but I really need a Richard Petty 1:64 model for a good price. Looking for a nice model that replicated Richard's 1970s rides (Plymouth Superbird, Dodge Charger, etc.) that doesn't have those plastic sticker decals. Am willing to pay up to $15 from anyone here. Am having a really difficult time finding these puppies. PLEASE do not post ebay auction sites, because I don't use Ebay. Thanks!

You got me interested. Just one question, are those windows black or clear, and are the decals stickers or are they tampo sealed?

I have that complete 50-car series both in blisterpacks and the QVC boxed set. The cars are pretty good, but Racing Champions was notorious for not getting things quite right. For instance, the Charger above was a 1992 mold. It was used once before during that time for some promo pieces. In 1999, RC did a Petty 50th set in 1/64 (50 cars) and 1/24 (6 cars) where cars that both Lee and Richard Petty drove were produced and celebrated from the period of 1949-1999 (I have all of these, 1/24 & 1/64). The Charger above is one from that set. It, like many of the cars is kind of quirky-looking in true, Racing Champions tradition. It does have tampoed graphics and clear windows, however, the interior is that of a street car (bucket seats and no rollcage). I do absolutely love this set, though. Firstly because no other diecast company since has been so bold and creative with their marketing of this type of product. Secondly it marks the high point of Racing Champions as a tour de force in the NASCAR diecast market, and third, my QVC boxed set which was a $299 item on QVC was sent to me free of charge from my good friend Pat Meyer who was in charge of NASCAR marketing/licensing at Racing Champions and was a regular participant in our diecast discussions on our old forum at the Diecast Digest website before he moved on to another job at ERTL. He's still there, and we reminisce from time to time via email. Also, to make a long story even longer, I wish you would've move on my Hotwheels versions I had up for sale the other day. They are very nice and have full tampoed graphics, clear windows, and heavy diecast bodies and chassis... I hope you find them. I have the boxed trackside version of the Charger and the HW Racing Select versions of the Petty and Pete Hamilton's Superbird, in addition to all the other Petty cars Hotwheels did in those series still, but sadly, they are not for sale. I had a hard enough time selling the one's I did give up... ;) Anyway, I hope this answers your question in a roundabout sort of way... :)
