Topps Does It Yet Again.....This Time With Brett Favre

We have discussed the "errors" and special chase cards that Topps has included in it's baseball products over the last couple years. First it was the Derek Jeter/Mickey Mantle/President Bush card in 2007 Topps Series 1 Baseball then the Joba Chamberlain "Reverse Negative" that showed him throwing left handed in 2007 Topps Updates & Highlights Baseball and most recently the Boston Red Sox celebrating with noted Yankee fan and former NY Mayor Rudi Guiliani in 2008 Topps Series 1 Baseball. Now with 2008 Topps Football, Topps has created a couple rare Brett Favre variations that are bringing some high prices. One card features Favre about to take a snap with the ghost of legendary Packers head coach Vince Lombardi watching over Brett's left shoulder. Another variation shows Favre riding a Packers lawnmower around the field. Beckett has announced that the Favre/Lombardi card is 1:12,000 packs. Only a few of each have surfaced on eBay. If you see either of these snatch them up!

Man they have a great way of selling those cards. Topps is worth buying again with all these screwups in them.

That could very well be a printing flaw. I have seen a few like this over the last few years. I have not heard anything about a no name variation but it wouldn't surprise me.
