So it looks like i hit the lottery.. the THUNDER lottery!

So I was worried about funds and knew the drawing was coming close for this months thunders. and i knew it would be rough

I call in to cancel the get on the 88 white gold car, tell her how i put in month after month and never win but im worried about my other cars. and she tells me are you sure? I ask her why she would say that (she had a tone like are you kidding?) She than tells me that my car is already packaged and im getting the door # (im a little confused though cause i didnt think there would be a #88 of a run on 50 cars)

long story short, im keeping the white gold, and just asked they put all my other incoming cars on hold for at least a week



UPDATE: So it looks like i got car 18 out of 25 not 1 or "88" like i was under the impression. I could care less though the car is beautiful! camera phone pics, better coming soon

Actually, on the white golds, there are only 25. Maybe you're getting a different door number and she was confused. I would call back for clarification.

hmm either way i decided to keep it, i guess ill know next week lol. Door number or not makes no difference, just being told i actually got it (this will be my first thunder win BTW, on the car i like most from last year no less)

maybe its serial 1? do they give no 1 away in thunder?

Maybe it's serial number 8 and she didn't know that Jr.'s number is 88 now? Most of the operators don't know anything about racing. I'm not sure if they give away No. 1 but they might... Anyway CONGRATS on a great car!

I wonder how she could tell what serial number it was from the outside of the tissue wrapped box. I also thought they were shipped randomly to the winners.

Probably because there tracking what SN's get sold on eBay now, would have been easy to add a field to the data base to hold that information. Maybe we'll actually see them start doing someth8ing about the people who get the thunders just to resell em for triple the cost.

Check the invoices under your account it should have a door number selection message on it.


Yes they do give out the 1 on the thunder cars because the production run is so low
