Why I joined RCCA...

Back in 1996, I was looking at the old WWW which was more or less in it's infancy. Lo and behold I found an ad for RCCA and a 1/64 set that had the King's cars in it. I thought, "Man, I gotta get this thing!" My mom, who was still alive during this time caught wind of this and knew my infatuation with Richard Petty. She was nice enough to go "halvsies" on this set and case.

Back about 4 years ago I had this set displayed in our computer room on top of a dresser near some windows. It was a windy summer day and the windows were open. A huge gust came though and knocked over a 21-case of 1/24's and my beloved RCCA 25th Winston Anny set. The cars survived for the most part but both acrylic case were smashed to bits!

Well thanks to Gomotorbids.com, I have my set back in top form and displayed proudly on a shelf... AWAY FROM THE WINDOWS!!! LOL!

I have those cars, but in an oak case: your case looks way nicer! That's a nice pick up.
