This policy becomes effective Feb.11, 2010 and therefore does not affect pre-season testing. During the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season (Feb 11 to Nov 14), Professional Nitro testing will be limited to a maximum of four (4) one-day test sessions. This policy applies primarily to the team/crew chief, not simply the driver. Under certain conditions and with prior NHRA approval, a driver reaching the testing limit with his team/crew chief may test drive another team/crew chief’s car. NHRA’s definition of testing includes, but is not limited to, any run or attempted run conducted at any track whatsoever, whether or not it is an NHRA track or an NHRA sanctioned event, domestic or foreign. For example, exhibitions, match racing, licensing attempts, and the like, are considered testing and will be subject to this testing policy. As a further example, participating at a two-day match race will be defined as two test session days. Regardless of the number of runs attempted per day, each day will be defined as one test session day. A test day is defined as a calendar day (exception would be a match race that may extend slightly beyond midnight). Any team in violation of this testing policy will forfeit all NHRA Full Throttle points for the remainder of the 2010 racing season. Unlike the 2009 policy, teams exceeding the four day limit will NOT receive any points for the balance of the season. Any participant (including the driver, owner and/or team) demonstrating a disregard or repeated violation of the testing policy may be subject to additional disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by NHRA in NHRA’s sole and absolute discretion. NHRA’s decisions in determining testing violations will be treated under Section 1.4 of the Rulebook and thus will not be appealable, in order to, among other things, provide finality with regard to events that are run | ![]() | ||
