There will be a lot of drivers with helmets in hands. Those drivers that have been away for more than two years will need to be at the test sessions pounding the pavement. It will real interesting to see car counts after Pomona.NHRA needs to wake up and market their currently funded teams better.

Have you ever added up there total time on TV for a year for a average driver versus cost of sponsorship?Scary!

Yeah the powerade commercials they were airing last year should have been shown other times than just during the race. Last year they did get some extra exposure with Force and the Edge car at the SuperBowl stuff. And now Ashley is in some Auto Club commercials (again I think they are just being shown during the races). At the end of the day they really need to get rid of all the "exclusive" official so and so of the NHRA which right off the bat eliminates possible sponsors from even being approached. I can see not allowing another energy drink since the title sponsor is one. But all the others probably really hurt them.

I think NHRA could really benefit from Ashley. I think she really needs another sponsor than Castrol to come on board and put her all over tv in their commercials much like Danica Patrick gets used. And if Courtney moves to Nitro use her alongside her. Nothing more would capture a young guys attention if that commercial came on as beautiful as thos 2 girls are.

I did however see a tv show talking about the Consumer Electronics Show and when they would show tvs I kept seeing a dragstip shown with a couple funnycars on the line. At first I thought it was Sanyo since they sponsor Courtney but it was Sony that was showing it.

Castrol is ponying up a lot of to be on the Forces cars.I dont ever see Ashley being in another car than Castrol. As of now Ashley is the heir apparent to the Castrol Dynasty in Drag Racing.

Hopefully NHRA wakes up loosing the Snake and Co.I talked to a friend and they said what I thought Snake was tired of chasing sponsorship in this economy.NHRA has went from 17-19 top fuelers to less than full fields same with funny car.

Is NHRA headed in the same direction as IHRA?THey will be if they dont stop the bleeding.More sponsorship, reduced ticket prices, and more TV exposure.

I feel like we are talking about Action/MA.NHRA gives off the same appearance of having there head buried in the sand.

To show the Pic and color of there TV's I have seen others do the same.

Yeah Im sure Castrol really wants to keep Ashely. It would be great for the sport though if she was sponsored by something outside of an automotive company though. Maybe even if it was a couple race deal even.

It will be interesting to see what happens when John does retire with the team dynamic there. Im just hoping with Robert winning the championship and Ashley basically being the most consistent car in the field that they become the powerhouse and the championships keep coming
