DAYTONA PEOPLE!!!Im going to the Gatorade duels,Need advice!!

Im going to be in Florida on vacation with the family and plan on going to Daytona on the day of the Gatorade Duel 150s.Ive beed to Daytona a few times but never a race (Im a Bristol veteran).Any advice or tips ?Things to see and do?Will I be able to find a ticket and fanzone pass or should I buy off ebay,stubhub,ETC before I go?Looks like I will be there by myself.

If you know where Longhorn's is there is free parking behind there in the plaza area, at least there has been the past few years. Unless you're there for the 500, you can find free parking. Longhorn's is NW of the track, I think it's not far from The Home Depot but Longhorn's is on the north side of the road. There's still tickets on Daytona's website. Last year I bought Petty tower ticket's for $105 for the Bud Shootout, mistake. I could have spent $40 for a general ticket and moved anywhere, wasn't even close to full. Thursday will be fuller, I'm sure, so it may not work the same. No need to buy a ticket off of ebay though.

Should probably buy online if you want good tickets, never been to the speed weeks, but last time I was at Daytona ('08), we checked to see if there were any better tickets than what we bought, and there were no good seats left... I'm not sure about the Duels, maybe there will be a lot more choice for those. Good Luck!

It's general admission for the Duels also. I go everyyear and sit at turn 4. You can go up pretty high there with alot of room around you to move around. It's a good spot to see them come around to the finish, and theres a good jumbotron there at the entrance to pit road. You'll probably need to get the fanzone pass online. Spend the money on that first, because you might be happy just to watch the race from there on the platforms instead of buying tickets for seats. You also get infield access before the race, and can stand on the track.

I think you need a ticket for the race plus a FanZone ticket to be able to get FanZone access. At least that is the way it was last year.

You're right I just checked. But the Fanzone tickets for all of the races except the 500 are $30. Couple that with the cheapest ticket for a race, and you have a good spot. I'm gonna do that for the 500. A $95 fanzone pass with a $55 seat on the backstretch.

Get your tickets on daytonainternationspeedway.com for cheap seats. Most of the ones on eBay are the high dollar packages that people are trying to make a buck off of.

OK I ordered a GA ticket and fanzone pass!!!Anyone been to the flea market near the speedway?

If you watch the race from fanzone you wont be able to see much. The trailers block your view. The flea market is awesome. There's over 30 vendors selling nascar stuff at great prices. The vendors will be there starting Friday. Its like 2 miles away.

Lots of tents set up there and lots of good deals I would recommend going.
