Default Someone needs to keep Denny away from the Basketball court

Denny Hamlin tears ACL: #11-Denny Hamlin, widely considered Jimmie Johnson's top threat in 2010, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee [clutch foot] Friday playing pickup basketball. Hamlin said he still expects to compete, but surgery isn't an option at this time since the Sprint Cup season begins in two weeks. He plans to have surgery to repair the knee after the 2010 season. A team spokesman said the injury should not affect Hamlin's ability to drive the car. "I planted my foot to make a move toward the basket, and my knee just shot directly out to the left," Hamlin said. On Dec. 16, Hamlin had surgery on his right knee to repair the meniscus [also from basketball].(ESPN)(1-24-2010)

This is a problem. You can't have your own guys injuring themselves.

Excuse in the making for a poor season. This will effect Dennys ablity to shift greatly.I have had 4 major knee surgeries on my clutch leg and can no longer drive a clutch.Even after the first surgery I had trouble with a clutch.

My wife has a PCL injury and is awaiting for the ligament to regenrate on its own or else she will need a donor.

MCL Tear - Medial Collateral ligament Injury

Time for JD and Coach to start looking for another driver. Also time for JD and Coach to add a no basketball clause in Dennys contract immediately.

My thoughts exactly. Edwards and Jeff Gordon both had some issues with injuries over the past few years, and tearing an ACL is probably worse than just flat out breaking it.

Where was I when he became the #1 contender for the championship? Every once in a while he gets mentioned but I dont think he is close enough to some of the others to be considered the top threat

Both knees, he's bruised his hip, I think he hurt a collarbone one time. He messes himself up playing basketball constantly.
