This will hurt diecast sales if they don't use the wing for at least a race this year. The 2010 standard paint schemes will probably come out with the wing. I will for sure cancel all my 2010's that are on pre-order if they have the wing and the wing isn't used in 2010. I never liked it when they rush to get diecast out so quick, this is what happens. Although I do understand them wanting to have diecast in Daytona.

I'm glad to see, hopefully, the wing go; never liked it and diecast will be better without it.

Why cancel it? It will be more collectible in my eyes as it was never raced

Either that or they will probably offer a replacement spoiler to put in

my guess is it wont change until at least april though

I think many people will cancel orders if they don't run the wing. Now if they use it for a race or few, then I think they will be great collectables. I tend to only like what's raced. I think this will hurt MA even more if the wing doesn't get used at least once. I can think of other diecast that were made but the car never did race on the track. Gordon's Looney Tunes, Harvick's 2007 Reese's (Non COT), just to name a couple that seemed to suffer from not being run. Will see. If they do start with the wing then go to spoiler and make both diecast, it's going to be an expensive year.

its just an idea, they are going to test it like they did the COT, a couple races one year, then transfer the next if they like the results. they should just use the NEW nationwide cars, those are sexy!!

Good I hope they do get rid of that wing. This is NASCAR not the European touring car series.

Which Gordon Looney tunes car are you talking about. I thought Gordon ran a Looney scheme at Richmond back in 02 or 03...Not sure

Gordon wrecked his Looney Tunes car in practice in 2002 and never raced it because his back up car was his standard paint scheme. I was at that race, my first Cup race :-)

The article I read said the target race for changing them if they decide to is Bristol or Martinsville. So the only dangers might be special schemes that might already be shipping. But with MA trying in some cases to get the early special schemes out by the time it races maybe even those would be safe. I know Stewart's Burger King is supposed to be released in Feb as well as the hat and T-shirt are supposed to come out around that time too. I would guess the Burger King car gets ran first at a race in Febuary
