NHMS modified race

One of the most exciting finishes I've ever seen. Todd Szegedy up high, Donny Lia in the middle, Ted Christopher low... three wide coming out of turn four on the final lap... Szegedy pushes down into Lia, who then turns Christopher up into the wall, taking Szegedy with him. Lia goes on to win. Christopher fifth, Szegedy eighth. Szegedy's front end was demolished.

Ryan Newman spun with about 30 to go while going for the lead on Szegedy. He hit the wall and failed to finish. Kasey Kahne was involved in a wreck late in the race and didn't finish.

The Mods are always worth the trip to NHMS. Last year, the margin of victory was 0.001 seconds. Great racing in this series.

Flemke, who finished second, and Lia were ripping Ted Christopher's driving style and others who 'dive bomb' into the corner and use their side bumper bars to finish a pass instead of just setting up a driver and passing someone cleanly. Ron Silk, who finished third, was also critical. They said they drive like that because they get rewarded for it... no penalties for driving like that and little reward for driving cleanly.
