Default Story ideas

Well, I'm headed to Loudon on Thursday for the race weekend. I'll have a press pass and I'm actually going to work.

What I'm looking for from you guys are some ideas for notebook (a collection of short news stories) items. They can be just some things you're wondering about a driver or an off-the-wall type of question to ask one or a number of drivers. Any ideas would be welcomed. Post here. Thanks.

If you get a chance at Kahne or Kesolowski ask them how they have been doing while they are not racing, and ask Kasey what he thinks of Brad.

Ask Dave how he's dealing w/not being competitive. He has dominated every form of Motor sport he's ever participated in except Cup, but he at least had a semi-competitive ride until this year. How's he holding up, does he have any plans in the works for next year, or is he considering retirement and helping his son?
Has he ever considered putting his brother Dale in a Truck or a Nationwide car?

Ask any driver what there opinion is on the state of the sport. Like the direction it is going in and stuff like that.

Ask them how they feel about the economy & how it is changing the sport of racing?

Discuss Montoya's good runs this year and ask him if finishing 6th at Sonoma is a letdown or something that will fuel more intensity on the ovals, as he's expected to do that well or better.

To expound on this question, since they have implemented the COT, how often do they use the same cars at different tracks? Such as would they use a car that won Daytona at Loudon?
