Default JRM losing factory backing?

Just read this on the JR Nation board.

Breaking news: General Motors is cutting factory support of teams in the NASCAR Nationwide and Truck series, reports SBJ's Michael Smith. GM's move comes as it restructures under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Most notable of the teams affected are Kevin Harvick Inc., which runs in both the Nationwide and Truck series ...... and JR Motorsports and Rusty Wallace Racing, a pair of Nationwide teams. For more on this story, see tomorrow's SportsBusiness Daily.

Forces the hands of the owners to move to cup sooner. Also with the new Nationwide COT costing the same as the cup COT to change over.

Well we won't have to worry about the Chevy Nationwide-Wackers (formerly the Buschwackers). Now if we can get the Ford and Toyota teams out of there, we can see real development back in the Nationwide Series.

I wonder what Smoke will do as Chevy is a big dollar contributor to his WoO and USAC teams.

Its kind of ironic. The only series which have cars that look somewhat stock are losing backing.

I'm sure RWI will go back to Dodge or convert to Toyota. Interesting about JR Motorsports considering how entwined with Hendrick they are. I'm sure they won't be very much affected because of that. Sucks for KHI though. They're much more independent than JR Motorsports. I hope they'll come out of this ok.
