Default The Dark Knight

Saw the Dark Knight this evening. Well worth the price of admission even at $10 a seat...man I remember the fifty cent films...good old days...

Anyways, without blowing the whole film, not what other Batman films have been. The twist on the Joker character was great. I'm by no means a comic book collector or even follower, I just like superheros in a 'boy growing up in the 70s' way as it was part of prime time viewing in the day...

The movie was as dark as the critics rave and certainly more of a good vs evil rather than hero versus bumbling silly criminals. The Joker certainly had more of an insanity twist than jovial prankster. Introduced another villian along the way and the movie took some surprising noble twists...good film for those thinking about it. I've seen all the batman modern films and have them on DVD just because I like the series. This was by far the best, so my two cents.

I ended up seeing it twice today. Saw it once waited about 3 hours then had it see it again. Heath Ledger did a fantastic job as Joker. If they ever decide to do another one I really hope they decide not to get someone else to play Joker. Ended up spending $26 on this movie today for me and my girlfriend and I do not regret it at all.

Well I hate to tell ya demon but that guy that played as Joker won't be playing in any more movies. He died at the first of the year.

I think he is implying it would be a shame to have a replacement joker, and instead just let that character go ...and I would agree...Ledger did a hell of a job...though having done four different batman characters, it hasn't bothered me, they've all had their own flair.

there will replace ledger because you can not have the batman without the joker maybe not the next film but further down the line mind you jack Nicholson's joker was just as good

Yeah thats what I meant. Just dont use the Joker in it again. If they do another movie just maybe a quick shot of him from behind in Arkham or something.

Ehhh...I don't think they NEED to replace Ledger/the joker. The tales of Batman can go on without him. Makes no difference either way, and that's implying they even have another batman film to begin with. Due to the makeup I suppose it wouldn't matter who they put in the role, I thought Ledger did a much better job than Nicholson. Nothing against Jack either. Really like all of his movies. Just thought this Joker was more the 'part' than what the original Tim Burton film portrayed. In the Dark Knight, the character had more of a criminal insanity. Nicholson played it like all his other thug roles, same demeanor, same manorisms...kind of like the issues of typecasting a guy, it was hard to separate him from "A Few Good Men" and his role as Jessup. Seemed like the same guy in makeup. My two cents.

Ill tell you what, Ive been thinking about this alot today and this movie is really spectacular. Its been a long time since a movie has made me want to see it again and again. I want desperately to go see it a third time. The overall package is unbelievable. The scenes, the acting, the soundtrack, all top notch. I highly recommend to anyone to see it, comic fan or not. The movie is that good.
