Default Richard & Lee Petty 1960 Plymouth Diecast

Well it only took abut 2 years but the Richard & Lee Petty 1960 Plymouth diecast finally have arrived. These are available in regular and autographed editions (signed by Richard). We think M/A is bad Tool Box Treasures is even worse. Kind of a cool old pieces.

There is definitely a market for those. They are basically Racing Champion pieces, but being Historical cars gives them appeal. Obviously, having a plastic chassis is a minus, but I got the two Ralph Earnhardt cars, and I love them. (Of course, I didn't pay full price for either of them either, and I don't think they're worth $70.) If they made them all diecast though, I am sure there are collectors who would pay that in a heartbeat, and I am also sure there would be a demand for more.

Yep, I agree Karl. I have them ordered from my dealer and should have them any day now. Tim at Diecast Deals used to handle the Petty vintage stuff but now that job is handled by Jim Hannigan at Toolbox Treasures. I got an email from Jim a couple nights ago and his email address was from Yates Racing. My guess is that Jim now works directly for Petty Racing. I've spoke to him by phone back when these '60 Plymouths were in the planning stages. At that time I mentioned that Franklin Mint had a mold/casting for a 1971 Roadrunner that was begging to be put in race trim for Petty's '71-'72 livery. Jim and I went 'round and 'round about "price point" which you can obviously see is much too high for the product you get (RC2 molds, plastic chassis, etc.), but I would have no problem paying it for a Franklin Mint quality piece.

I got these Furys because, well, they are Mopars, and hey, I'm MoparBob.
