Default Same old problems at RCCA

First of all, let me say this doesn't affect me directly. I was over reading and another member started a thread about how he ordered one of the Kyle Busch autographed cars, but his ordered was canceled because the car was oversold. He then added that he was watching the same seller selling the same car he had canceled on Ebay-- oh yeah, and it was the third one.

I know this is nothing new, but the members over there seem to be more concerned about the forum getting shut down, or the thread getting locked. Of course, it's different when it directly affects one of them, but this has been going on forever, and RCCA does nothing. Even when they have specific information, they do nothing, even though logical solutions have been suggested and specific Ebay member names have been provided. They can't be as helpless to shut down the big name sellers as they pretend to be.

I guess it's time to try again. I really don't think that calls to RCCA will do any good, but I may try, but I think I need to actually call straigt to Action and talk to the RCCA director there. That's how I got results last time, and that's part of the reason QVC doesn't have RCCA any more. Maybe it's time Action looked at having another company besides Brickell's adminstrating RCCA because apparently Brickell's can's handle it.

It somewhat suprised when RCCA created their forum. They had to realize that dissatisified customers would get on the forum and vent their problems/frustations. From what I've seen on they handle the touchy situations by a.) give some generic answer b.) lock the thread c.) delete the thread d.) give no response. I would imagine they had good intentions when they originally created the forum and hoped to create some goodwill between them and their customers, but to me it seems like it's created quite the oppposite.

It seems like the management has no business sense whatsoever, which is probably why they face their current situation. I've read that alot of their exclusive liscenses will expire the next year or two and I wonder if they're gonna have the cash to throw at teams/drivers like they have in the past.

If UncleFreddie sees this thread maybe he can bring us up to speed a little bit.

I don't know if management or anyone that really matters looks at the forum.

I'm thinking they haven't been paying attention for quite sometime to what the collectors want.

So, let me ask a couple of questions.

It appears to me, that a lot of the problems stem from the 'thunder program"
is this correct?

Or are there other issues that I'm missing?

I've stated that there are programs that the RCCA could join and be a part of on E-bay.
Which seems to be at the center of the problem.

Now with being said,
I've read and I'm not sure how it all works.
But it appears that, there is a number. So many arc cars get ordered in addition to elite cars being ordered and that in the end means the elite will be made

It also appears that on some paint schemes, those numbers really don't matter.

I just don't know how it all works.

Some other things I've noticed,
A 'few' of the members on that forum, get really po'd if you mention a QVC scheme.
Take for example the #14 Tony S BK auto'd car.
A few of them bitched and moaned that the 'elite' version wasn't going to be auto'd.

Well, If the QVC version wasn't auto'd, do you really think it would have sold the number it did?
and if it hadn't reached the number it did. The chance's an elite would be made would have gone down.

I'm new to this hobby, I look at it a little different than others.

However, it appears that they (M/A & RCCA) are looking at the total number ordered
within all the brands and that might be a reason some of these scheme are not being made in ALL the brands.

I'm not sure what all the collectors are looking for.

I can tell you that I'm looking for cars /paint schemes that I like.
Does that mean every one of them will be made.
I have no idea. more than likely, not every one of them will be produced.

I also know that I would like to see these continued to be made.
These are after all pretty sweet looking piece's of art.

I wish you luck and if there's anything I can do to help,
just let me know.

Steve "Rapala-Guru"
