Default MA possible Bankruptcy

ok let me state from the beginning this is an unconfirmed rumor. most of you realize by now that my posts are pretty darn acurate, however, this may totally be off base.

a close friend of mine, was hanging around some pr guys a few nights ago. they are friends as well, i am not sure how close the relationship is but apparently they were talking about how their drivers are going to lose their guarantee money from MA because they were going to file chapter 13 bankruptcy.

i talked to my friend seriously as this is something i care about a lot, and he assured me he wasn't joking about the situation and that they (the PR people) were pretty serious as well and pretty ticked.

so for now until i here more it's just a rumor and please keep it at that. if i hear more I'll let you know. for the record i hope it's not the end. i really think theeir could be a great market again and i think they have some great people in place to make it happen... they still need to lose a few "not so helpful" people but, again thats just my opinion.

Time for MA to get back to basics and drop the crap that doesn't sell. Also stop over saturating the market.

It doesn't faze me as something that could occur soon. MA has over-exposed itself to the market and its bad decision making has threatened the company's well being. There won't be a government bailout for them and the fact that they have a revolving door of CEO's isn't helping either. The company needs to cut back severely.

That rumor is probably coming from this press release.

Step #1: Not everyone is a Dale Jr. fan, so stop oversaturating the market with Dale Jr. crap that doesnt sell.

Step #2: Enough with the chromey-chrome bullshit. Make it standard, make it Color Chrome.... leave it at that. It doesnt sell.. its garbage.

So let's say they do file chp.13.

What would that mean as far as diecast go? (I think i know but i wanna hear it from someone else, lol)

Would they finish making the cars they were gonna make and then stop?
Or just close up shop and be done forever?

Chapter 13 doesnt exactly mean the end of the world for a company... it means what they tried failed miserably.... but they can still survive, if they get their act together..

Even if MA does go under, which Im 99% sure they wont. Someone will pick up making NASCAR diecast. It has been proven by Action before that there is money to be made in the diecast industry IF YOU DO IT RIGHT. MA didnt do it right... but Im sure a group like CFS, Milestone, or ADC would be glad to get the NASCAR license..
