2005 Kurt Busch #97 Crown Royal Bud Shootout version

This is one of my more favorite paint schemes. Kurt ran this only once, at the Budweiser Shootout in Daytona in 2005. When the car ran at other times during the season, the car had bright yellow numbers instead of the more attractive Gold.
Of all the NASCAR models I have built, this one is the most prototypically correct.
I removed the molded-in lower grillwork, opened the cowl vent (which I should not have done) and the dash is resin aftermarket.
Eventually I plan to do both other versions-the regular yellow number and the Hurricane Katrina Relief version-But I only have 5 more of these kits and don't want to use up 2 of them for what basically is the same car. Eventually.

I had originally planned for this one to be the Scott's car Carl Edwards won his first race in-I am now glad that I chose an alternate route!
