This one is important to me, in that is the first one I have built that I am absolutely 100% sure the man who drove it has seen it! A friend of mine forwarded these very photos along to Lake Speed himself. Another friend of mine, who was in the sport at the time, told me that it was the first time he had ever seen anyone get the nose correct in scale. Needless to say, I was, and still am, Beaming! ![]() I re-shaped the window net, and modified the nose, which I discovered was nessicary after it already been painted and decaled. It was quite a bit nerve-wracking to take my razor saw to the body AFTER it was decaled-one slip with the saw and the model would have been toast! I think it took me something like a half hour to do something that had I done it before paint and decaling, would have taken me about 5 minutes. I scratchbuilt the new air dam. Each contingency decal was placed seperatly, a process which took about 4 hours. Each side! I also lowered the suspension. The build is based on the Darlington Transouth Financial 400 photo in the Yearbook, but I never bothered to scan the photo. Duh! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
