Matchbox hunts?

Can someone tell me if there is a Matchbox equivalent to Hot Wheels' Treasure Hunts, i.e. a hard-to-find car/series? I'm looking to expand my horizon but don't exactly know what to look for when I'm out scouring for T-hunts and all else. I found the 55th ann. green cars and wasn't impressed, is that all there is?

there have been a few chases in the past. the green cars you found are not chases. they are regular issue cars with the ann. logo. the k-mart here has had loads of them.
they have tried a few chases in the past, but none have caught on. as of now this year, there are no chase cars in matchbox.

hard to find matchbox that sounds like any new casting overhere

everything is repaints i read here. except a slight commotion on the simpson haulers, and the red version and the orange version of the truck bed on the dump truck.
there are international cars , well british blisters showing up here, and 'the best of the best" i saw in a kay bee.

that's about right over here we got a batch of repaints about 2 months ago nothing since guess ill have a matchbox shopping list too in January
