Any word on whether he took it, if anyone else made an offer and where he may end/have ended up? Question two, I understand the Pirates are interested in Rick Ankiel and want to offer a one year deal to get them into there minor league prospects for the 2011 season. Anyone know if this is true, and if any movement has happened on it? I would LOVE to see Ankiel come here!

I think he's holding out for Holliday to sign. As for Ankiel KC needs to be going after him. Sorry Ken but I wonder if he would consider the Pirates or even KC because he wants another ring. Only time will tell plus I don't see Rick going back to the minors when he's better then most of the Pirates outfielders. | ![]() | ||

Bay is holding out for another bid, which may not happen. Ankiel could end up in Pittsburgh, but I wouldn't be surprised if a sleeper team ends up getting him.

That would be why they sign him. They have a one year opening there, and a guy in AAA ready to come up in another year. Thanks for the info guys.

Then again, if nobody else is offering.
