Default The Lesnar show

The Lesnar show - UFC - Yahoo! Sports

Quotables

Quote:
No one and nothing was spared. Lesnar even turned his attention to the UFC itself, which paid him an estimated $3 million for the fight, pointing at the giant Bud Light advertisement in the middle of the octagon.

“I’m drinking a cooler full of Coors Light, Coors Light because Bud Light won’t pay me anything.”

Anything for the children at home, big guy?

“Hell, I might even get on top of my wife tonight.”

Quote:
The UFC brought Brock Lesnar over from the WWE for just this kind of a sensation. And the big man has delivered – the good, the bad and the embarrassing.

Only Dana White has no scriptwriters that can contain him.

He was such an ass last night, but he beat the shit outta Mir. Funniest thing he said, concerning his feeling that Mir got lucky when he beat him: "I told Frank Mir that he had a damn horseshoe up his! Well tonight, I ripped that damn thing out and beat him with it!"

That's no character or gimmick, that's the real Brock Lesnar. The Next Big Thing has needed a beat down for a long time to knock down that ego some. He has always been this arrogant ass going all teh way back to Minnesota. I'm not sure if its all that time he spent alone in the middle of nowhere South Dakota, but he's got a problem between the ears.

This is how I look at Brock and the way he acted. He was an ass and he enjoyed being an ass. Sound familiar? Yeah, kinda like Kyle Busch. Is their attitudes a bad thing? I don't think so. Here's why.

Number one, racing is a bunch of cars going in circles trying to cross the finish line first. Number two, MMA is two guys fighting to see who can make the other quit first or out point them on a judge's scorecard. That's as basic as you make the two "sports". Now, to someone who's not really a fan of either, what's the attraction? I've always said that watching a race is a whole lot easier if you have someone you really like and root for or you have someone you really don't like and root against. You want your guy to win or at least run up front. You want the guy you really don't like to hit the wall early and head for the garage so he finishes WAY in the back. Same goes for MMA. If you've got someone you really want to win, you root him on and enjoy. If there's someone you really hate, you want to see them get knocked out, submitted and if necessary, lose by decision. People who really don't know MMA will probably now say that Brock is really a dick and might tune in next time (cha ching) to see him hopefully get beat or at least see what makes him think he's the shit.

Just my take...
