What I am saying is, I am a union guy through and through. BUT the Union is supposed to protect the workers/players and at times they need protected from themselves. I know the majority would not have agreed to drug testing to the extent needed for the steriod/HGH/Performance enhancing drugs that are being used now, but the Union should have made the players understand that for the sake of the game, and the publics perception of them, the game AND the Union, that a strict testing policy and disciplinary system needed to be put in place. They would ALL benefit from it in the long run.
Now w/him gone, maybe a decent executive director will be elected by the players and things can set straight. The game hopefully can rebound and everybody can move on from here.
I realize Football and racing are more popular, but it is America's pastime. I really hope it has not been damaged beyond repair.

Baseball is way too screwed up now...it has gotten to the point where if any player has a decent amount of home runs, everyone is suspicious of roids.
