Default Pepsi done with the Superbowl

On our local news they said Pepsico is done spending money on advertising during the Superbowl. Frito Lay will continue through this year and possibly be done as well (Frito is part of Pepsico). I wonder what this is going to do to the future of the huge budget commercials during the Super Bowl?

Probably means that Coke will try and jump in and grab the NFL market, which is largely dominated by Pepsi.

Maybe but will Coke seriously think about paying out all that money for it? Pepsi said they are going to focus on other means of advertising that they have avoided due to the related costs of spending most of the money on one day.

Coca-Cola yes. Coke Zero wouldn't do that.

But, Coca-Cola and Coke Zero are different brands, hense a different budget based on what they are willing/have to spend on advertising. I don't see "Coca-Cola" putting that much money into the brand Coke Zero for advertising.

I'm a Coke fan (never drink anything else besides Vitamin Water, and even that is a Coke product) so I hope they take advantage of it. Pepsi has always had the NFL advantage over them.

John FOrce ought to get on the phone with Pepsi. Maybe they could be a new sponsor for Ashley. I really think some big name companys wish they could take Castrol's spot on that car.
