im not sure how many other teams do this, but i know my team does! its good that they give back to the community and their fans like this!

A lot of teams do things similar to this. I know the Browns had a toy drive last year around Christmas where they collected toys to give to less fortunate kids. Josh Cribbs in particular does a lot of things like this around Cleveland.

Mark Sanchez gave 1,000 hot dogs and hamburgers to a soup kitchen in recognition of his hot dog eating during the Raiders game. As selby said, all teams do this, and many players do devote time to different charities.

All teams do something different throughout the year. I know the Chiefs do a huge football camp from kids every year. The Royals players do a lot of things throughout the year as well. Mark Tehan has a huge charity even here and supposedly will still do it even though he was traded. Mike Sweeny has a huge event here as well. The stadiums don't get involved for many charity events or promotions with the teams because they aren't owned by the teams they are owned by the County. Hence why Arrowhead gets to hose the KU/MU border war every year.

They did that last year as a late X-mas gift Spool. I guess they are giving one earlier this year.
