Default Cleaning Diecast Cars

I was just wondering how you guys clean your diecasts and if you use a polish or not. I'm thinking of putting a few for display and I'd need to know how to clean them. Thanks for your help.

I would say the best would be to get a microfiber cloth rag and wipe them off this way or swiffer is a way to go also, as far as a cleaner Ive never used anything directly on the diecast cars.
hope this helps ya

I take a semi wet cloth and gently shine them up. Then, a polish rag used for shoes. They look brand new all the time.

I use a product called Diecast Delight. It runs about $6 a bottle and works really well. Just be careful when using it on autographed pieces. It will wipe away a silver sharpie windshield auto without any effort at all...I found this out the hard way when I cleaned a Kyle Busch indiana Jones car, and lost a good quality auto as a result

Thats what I use also, never had the problem with an autograph being wiped off. I'll take your word for it just the same and be more carefull.

looks like they say black shapie and gold or silver paint pen instead of silver sharpie.

It's also safe for your autographed cars - we've tested it on signatures applied with black Sharpies as well as gold and silver paint pens.
