Cheapest Fix

What is the cheapest way to get a PS3 fixed guaranteed? I know sony does it for 150 dollars no matter what. I plan on going to game stop some time to ask how much they would fix it for. Anyone else have any other suggestions? (i want to fix up are ps3 60gb version so it will start up again...)

Don't know. My was still under factory warranty. They sent the box, the return label and even the tape you're supposed to use to send it back.

Warranty, Ha we got it when the ps3 first came out so there goes that, Thanks tho.. I'll keep looking.

I feel your pain Mini... I had an 80gb, but I bought mine a year after it's release. Warraenty ran out last Christmas. I think you know what happened next.... sooo I bought a Wii. For the family and gets your butt of the couch. Not all the games are half bad either.

Not sure about Mini, but mine got the YLOD, yellow light of death.
Or basically overheated. I refused to pay $150 to fix it, so I paid $50 for a very reliable Wii. Best $200 I've ever spent video game wise. I don't play much anyway. I spend half my free time trying to hunt down collectibles haha.

Hey mini have you looked at this site? I don't if it will fix what's wrong but maybe it's something simple.

I wish it was something simple but probably not I'll take a look at it tho. This happened during the summer months so we were only w/o one for maybe two weeks till we went and got the newest one. Which is nice, but i don't feel like paying another 150$ for one. So I think I'll just fix this one, let alone this one has alot of goodies on it no other one has.

Lol i personally don't like the Wii and if i want to get active i'll go do something else lol, like ride my bike or race on the weekends most of the time. Just Me tho.

So the PS3's do that too? My XBox did that to me earlier this fall.

A lot of people hate it haha. But like I said, I spend more time collecting then I do playing video games. Plus I go out to the local dirt-track with buddies and all. Don't have a need for an expensive game system when I only play it like once a day. Good luck with your PS3 though!
