Default Over Heating Problem

My 360 is and has been overheating for 2 days now. My friend told me that I can put a crap load of blankets around it and turn it on and this will fix the problem. I did that and it fixed it to where I can play but then as soon as I turn it off again I need to do the blanket trick. Basically what I am trying to say is there anybody out there that does not want their 360 anymore? It will be the 21st that I get paid and can buy one from someone then or trade? Just let me know.

Sounds like you are on the horizon for the RROD. I have also heard of the blanket trick working but it is temporary. Keep on rocking until it dies and then get it replaced for free. I had to send mine back last summer sometime. Haven't had a bit of trouble since.

So true! Plus the FREE online play and blu-ray aren't bad either.

That's why I put a fan on my 360 from the day I bought, loud as crap but not a hint of the ring. The blankets is a temporary fix, like an energy drink the crash is coming.

Nice job Microsloth... never have bought a 360 and I never will. I get more enjoyment out of my Quad Core hooked up to a 20" LCD.

I have a second gen PS2, (the slim version) if anybody is interestred.
LMK, make an offer.
I have not used if for like forever, and when I did, it was played VERY LITTLE. If I don't move it, I am going to use it exclusively for a DVD player.

I had a PS2 that had a similar issue to the RROD. I also heard that the PS3 can have a Yellow Light of Death so be certain not to stand it up and leave it on for very long periods of time.
