I'm curious as to if this really IS a proto, but it's still a unique piece. Way too high IMO, but a big dollar piece no doubt. Guess we'll see what the market will bear....

Not sure if it's a proto, but a very nice car. But I'm not sure I'd drop $600 on it... or $200+ without proof it's a proto. That's to much money to be getting screwed over.

It's been my experience that prototypes don't come with finished boxes. I wouldn't touch that piece as a prototype for any amount.

I'd go $200.00 just for the regular Blue Angels car, IF it was not signed. Signed, I wouldn't do any more than $150.00. I didn't like the box either, unless it was a final run proto, so the teams can see the box art as well, but seems there should be more proof other than no DIN#.

Yeah, anyone can lift a body and rub off the DIN. I've honestly never seem any prototype with a box of any sort. My 2006 Sadler Combos prototype came without any kind of box, other than what it was shipped in.

or you can just change out the chassis so there is no number too

It's a shame that a nice car like that has to be messed with.. that is not a prototype in my opinion. I have quite a few prototypes and NONE of them have a box; and ALL of them have a sticker on the front or rear windshield with a hand written serial number or hologram.

Acetone and a q-tip removes the DIN without a trace. I have 2 Bowyer Elites, no DIN, no serial number plate, but regular Elite boxes with decals. There are also a lot of RFO pieces going around from the show (advance run pieces) with no DIN's either. Getting hard to say anymore on the prototypes, or pre-production samples as they are referred to sometimes.
