Post Alpha Numeric Code

I've wanted to ask this for a while but I keep forgetting. I noticed on some listings on the Bay that individuals sometimes put a code with their listings. Sometimes they differ but most of them are like 59N, 76R, and so on. What are these?

I'm guessing it is some sort of personal inventory system for the seller. I've seen those listings myself and they are usually bigtime distributors. Probably helps them keep track of who gets what or even where they are at. I've been to buddystoys warehouse...WHOLY candystore...cars EVERYWHERE still in shipping boxes...took me three days to stop drooling...
