Default 1:64 Haulers??

Ok, I'm new to this 'world' of collecting. Mostly Collect 1:24 scale Nascar.

I've seen a few of the haulers.

What should I know?

I'm looking for reasonable quality, (Metal, I don't know a lot about these)

Also, Reasonable cost
(what are the ranges $ ?)

Not looking to get into these big time, however would like to see if I can find a couple.

Thanks
Steve "Rapala-Guru"

Steve, you can take this advice or not, it's up to you, but all the "haulers" currently in production are a WASTE. None of them look anything at all like the actual haulers do. They are pure fantasy. I would save my money for something else.

Back in the 1990s Ertl made some high quality hauler banks, I have but one-Derrike Cope's 1994 #12 Straight Arrow/Mane N' Tail car fielded by Bobby Allison. It probably weighs about a pound and a half, as it's all metal, unlike most which have a plastic trailer.

If you look at Jayski's 2008 #34 team page, the hauler shot is one of mine :)

Steve i have a few haulers I believe there was a MA elite hauler that came out this year I have not seen any up close and no how much detail there is. The best detail of hauler that i've seen was the Team Caliber Haulers and i'm sure there not that expensive since they have been out for a few years now they did most of the Roush Racing haulers.

I think the RCCA Elite haulers are correct as far as graphics etc. As far as that w/Winners Circle, Billy is right. They are Fantasy/Generic and the only metal parts are the cab. the trailer is plastic, unlike the RCCA Elite haulers and the TC Owners Haulers spoken of earlier.

I am going to put in my 2 cents now since i am what you would/can call a hauler maniac LOL !! I completely agree with Billy that they are fantasy . However i also think that IF its your driver then .... GET IT ! I mean i know of alot of collectors on the ONMC site that buy the hauler strictly becuase its their driver that they collect !! Anyway i personally got 3 haulers of Dale Jr's for 2008 lastyear AMP , Bud , and Citizen Soldier . I actually liked those more than i did the other haulers that came out for all the other drivers ! Anyway hope that you get my point ... and if not all i can tell you is Sorry ! lol

Thanks Everbody!, Lots of interesting comments.

On Monday of this week, I made a purchase.
Not diecast related,
I lost my dog a couple of years ago.

Took a drive on Monday and came home with the sweetest little girl.
J.J is her name, she's a shih-tzu & Mini popple mix, Born on 10-10-2008, came in at 2lbs & 6oz. Black in color with some silver highlights. Hopefully and I hope ya'll don't mind. I'll be able to get at least a photo of her, she's quick. and then I can intorduce her to all of ya.

And while I'm at it. I want to thank "Ron" for his help in getting me information on the haulers.

Have a great day fellas,
Steve "Rapala-Guru"

Please do post a pic! I like the longer haired little pets, that's why I couldn't pass up on the persian we got recently.
