Had to send a email to RCCA

I have a 2008 Jeff Gordon car I tried to register but din begins with CX and not the normal CU.

Couldn't get it to register.....anyone else run into this?

Yeah all I get is....
Invalid transaction number entered for this DIN.

CX0724 is the 1st part of the number......never seen CX before!!

On the 2007's, the DIN's on the COT's began with CX instead of CU to differentiate them from the regular cars. I have had pretty good luck with quick responses from the DIN site in the past. By the way, since the first 6 characters are CX0724, that indicates it's a 2007 COT. The invalid transaction number may indicate that someone else has it registered.

Make sure that the 0 you are entering is a Zero and not the letter "O".

I got the car in a "New" trade at my LDS so it "shouldn't" be registered.
I did try the 0 and O bit and it made no diff.

They just do that for 2007?
My other COT's all start in CU.
Very odd either way.

Yes, it was only for 2007, because 2007 was the only year they produced two different cars with the same paint scheme (i.e. Jeff Gordon DuPont regular car and Jeff Gordon DuPont COT).

I had a couple of these I had problems with getting registered. I don't recall if they were COTs or not but the time period when I had trouble matches up. RCCA cleared it up pretty quickly but it's still annoying.

Remember, RCCA doesn't take care of the DIN issues, MA does.

That should tell you how it's been since I had an issue with a DIN or even registered a new piece.
