You know I haven't noticed a number on the box to match a car unless they hyave added that feature. I think it would be a neat addition to the cars that have the DIN.

Actually the label on the box has a stock number assigned to the specific diecast run for ordering purposes. The DIN is obviously unique to the car you buy. I would never expect the actual car's DIN to be placed on the box. That would be asking for trouble when the DIN on the box did not match the DIN on the car, customers would be livid with no way to fix the problem. That would be asking way too much from a factory that Action pays about $22.50 per car.

Wow, talk about inflation. Around 98 it was only costing Action about $7 per 1/24.
