Default Getting access for autograph's

There are a few of you, that have gotten some great autographes.

I'll be attending both Cup races at MIS (Michigan)

Is there anybody that might care to share,
the tricks, tips, etc

I normally buy at least 1, 1:24 scale at each race.

I've been very lucky in the past. as in, the driver was at the trailer.

Anybody have other idea's?

Do I need to spend the whole weekend at the track?

Com'on fess up, Help a fella out.

See there's where I run into another problem.

I'm sort of, an on the spot type of buyer.

so, it's not that I'm going to take a car there.
I'm going to buy it at the track.

I've got a couple of diecasts on my list that I'd like to get.

My first 'impulse' buy would be,

Mikey's New Napa scheme (flames, ohhhhh)

or

The 'Biff' 3m (I like the looks of this also)

Best advise..hang out at the trailers. Look for a posting for drivers appearances and if a ticket is required. You must then plan your day so you can be at the trailers of choice for each signing. Some trailers like Waltrip have signed cars already done by him. They do this because they struggle to sell the diecast period so they have the driver sign them and you get the car for the same price as an un-signed car.

USUALLY Jack and three drivers appear. That is a good event. They also sell off a lot of race used metal, etc. Likewise for impulse sigs watching the trailers is OK but most of the guys you are 'looking' for don't come out. Getting a pit pass particularly one to be used on qualifying day is your best bet. A suggestion if all you want is autographs to have them, get a non-specific car like the ford program car, or the nextel car, etc...or simply buy a white car, remove the decals and get sigs from whomever you come in contact with. I've seen Richard Childres, Roger Penske, and any number of drivers walk pit lane.

Don't forget the local places to eat is also a nice place to get one after thier meals. Down at Dover a few years back we were seated next to Mike Helton & his team I think it was a Tex. roadhouse. They up at Pocono we meet a sh*t load of crews at one of the bars after practice.

In a way,
Mikey's been running that Napa scheme, it seems like forever. So when I saw the new look for this year.
It worked for me. I like it.

Jeff's 2009 Firestorm, yup, like it. Got one.

So I would say, that if the 'scheme' works for me and the flames look good,

That yes indeed I like flames on a car.

I should also state that quite a few of the scheme's
that AJ "PullmyFinger / Dinger" has been running, look really good too.
