Default Simple yet effective way to reattach tethers and hood braces on Elites

So, when I started my first custom, I used an Elite since I like the little extra details, and I figured I could eventually work around the main problem using an Elite posed - hood braces and tethers. From the factory, these are attached to the hood via a tiny rivet. To disassemble the diecast, it is necessary to drill through that rivet to separate body and chassis.

I'd thought of quite a few ways to try and reattach them, but nothing was small enough - small screws and nuts, tiny rivets, crimping a lock washer, etc. These things would work, but finding small enough ones from a trip to Home Depot isn't happening.

So, as I was laying in bed last night it hit me - fishing line! Luckily I had some and jumped right out of bed to find it and see if it would work.

I'm pleased with the results. It is barely noticeable and holds well. A simple knot works as long as you use a couple pair of pliers to grab the fishing line to tighten the knot, the line isn't very easy to grab with your hands.

So, to anyone who thought of using an Elite but didn't want to because of this exact problem, if this fix works for you, use an Elite.
