Pinewood Derby

I remember seeing another car on here a few weeks back and I thought I would also share.

This is our 1st year for the Pinewood Derby races and I was not sure what to do. I hope it's as fast as it looks. My son originally wanted to make a Daytona or Superbird and that's what it started out as. Well, after him seeing the custom that I'm trying to work on, he wanted to make a car that looked like the one that I'm doing. Anyways here it is.

NICE> looks great. My son won a couple, took second in a couple and a third. He had a lot of fun. Unfortunately I was at Bristol so he had to update by phone. Nice job on the car!

Very nice looking car. Those things have come a long way since I was a Cub Scout and did the Pinewood Derby.

Good job on your son’s car! We just had our race last night and placed 1st for his group and third for the entire Pack. Not too bad for a couple of first timers.

I didn't realize how serious people took the Pinewood races around here. Everyone wanted to know who the new kid was and why he was winning. There was even a controversy with one of the parents that wins every year and them saying there was something wrong with track and wanted re-runs with my son. It was ridicules and humorous at the same time.

All and all, it was a good time.
