I know there's been a lot going on lately and some folks have been questioning whether this board is as good as it used to be or if certain people truly hold the interests of others close to their heart. Well, I woke up on Sunday morning and was checking out the site and came across this thread:

Basically, it was a link to guy in Canada that had a couple of the Canadian Hoods that Winners Circle produced last year. I've been searching for these since I got back into collecting hoods earlier this year and I had NEVER found a single one. I know Darce was going to look around when he went up there later this year and see if he could find some for me. Well, I followed Racer's link to "a couple Canadian Hoods" and found that the guy had 4 of the 9 that were produced. I immediately jumped on them and got them secured. Then, just for the heck of it, I asked him if he happened to have any of the other 5 that were produced and he sadly told me no. BUT, he told me he would go check out a store close to him as soon as possible and let me know. Well, I got an email from him less than 2 hours later and he had gone and found ALL 5 of the other Canadian Hoods that I needed! I paid him $9.99 each for them plus shipping and was VERY happy to get them all in one fell swoop! I was beginning to think that I would never get them, so I didn't mind paying twice as much as they would have been had I found them myself in Canada. I'd also like to pass on this seller's ID (christopherechristie) because I told him that I could probably find others that would love the opportunity to get the cars.

Back to my point though, I'd like to again thank Racer for the hook up! Whether one week and one new member can change the perception of the great people around here, it just goes to show that there are WAY too many good people around here that help folks out, not for any personal gain, but from the bottom of their heart.
