I now have an oppourtunity to go down for the october race, I was at the track and took a tour when I went to Bristol. I am looking on input if it is worth the drive. I am coming from Toronto area so say an 11 hour drive. I am hoping to hit up Bobby's fan club outing and taking my hood to get autographed. My wife gave me the goahead for a third race this year so I was hoping to combine the two outings to one and save a few bucks so I can make both MIS races this year. Any suggestions appreciated if possible recomendations on where I should try for a seat, usually I do not care if I'm at the start finish aslong as I can see the whole track.

Correction, Charlotte Motor Speedway and I've been once. Great facility. I sat in turn 4 about midway up and could see the entire track. Not sure about other areas. But Turn 4 you can for sure see everything and it's VERY much worth the drive. I only had 7 hours to drive but boy was it worth it.

I have not been there for a race, i have been for driver development testing and very simply the answer is yes!

its about a 6 hour drive from here. I went there when I was in Nc for vacation. Only the nationwide race. pretty nice place

yes sorry it lost its "lowe's" this year keep em coming people. Is there any spot around with moderate sun cover I know it took me 5 yrs to get my seats at mis and about 1 hour after it starts well two now its covered.

We go every year in the spring & Oct. We like turn 2 in the diamond tower sec. Nice high seating can see everything. cost is usually around $46.-$50. per seat. great Track,. for hooking up with Labonte,. try laidbackracing.com or maybe driversapearances.com, most all the race shops will be doing some sort of Fan fest during the race weekends at Charlotte. For the 600 in May, probabaly the best time,. drivers will be everywhere for speed street & Race shop fan fests also check out Jayski.com for driver appearances. if you need the link let me know.

I never stopped calling it "charlotte" lol.

I went there in May 2005 and had a blast. I don't know if there's a bad seat there. Anywhere on the front stretch should be a pretty good view.

Aaron, would you consider going to the Glen? I mean it (along with Michigan and Pocono) are the closest to you in distance. The Finger Lakes region is wonderful during that time of the year.
I know that Charlotte is definitely a great place to be at, but just thinking if you don't want to spend too much, the Glen, plus a trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame nearby would be a good excursion.

Been there 3 times .Don,t take the first 9 or 10 rows on the front stretch. if there still the same there concrete. Turn 4 is where i sat twice loved them -great view coming out of turn 3. Also if you have the time take a tour of the race shops.
