Castrol GTX and motorcraft filters. Fram had a problem with oil getting syphoned out as the motor cooled. No clue if that is still true. Back in the day we all used havoline because it was cheap!

With my parent's Kia, if they take it in to the dealer for the oil changes, the drivetrain warranty goes from 10year/100k to lifetime. So they do that.
My cars I take to Pennzoil to get the oil change. On the Grand Prix, I had gone to High Mileage, the Monte Carlo shouldn't need that yet.

I've used Mobile One filters with Pennzoil...never had issues...I'd say in the end the oil is pretty much dead dinosaurs so it doesn't 'matter'...the filter is kind of important as you want it to filter out metal filings/debris without the paper element shredding on you...never seen that happen honestly...but that link above sure doesn't paint a pretty picture on Frams....

I was told by several people at the Kia dealership that you can get your oil changed at any car shop and it wont hurt the warranty, just keep reciepts. Which is nice for me since there is no Kia dealership here in my town.

Use Pennzoil Platinum synthetic in my fiancee's car,and regular Pennzoil in my truck. As far as filters,I prefer Purolator,or WIX.

I thought about trying Wix but I went ahead and bought a Fram again. I know they are good, I have never had any problems with them in any of my vehicles.
