Default News from RCCA

I know most of you don't frequent the RCCA site, but there's a thread over there that's been pretty lively talking about Ebay and low serial numbers and stuff like that. New2 and I are pretty active over there, but other than that, I don't think a whole lot of you mess with that board. Anyway, that thread was locked tonight, and here was the final post from Thomas...

Quote:
Again, I will say I have confindence in our employees that they are not "scamming" anyone. This topic is locked after this post because of ridiculous accusations. Let me first say there are only 5 warehouse team members that pull product and work really hard to see customers are shipped their order in a timely manner (most packages ship within a day after they receive the order).

Boxes are packed numerically from the factory but they don't care enough to see what number is being pulled, trust me. As I also mentioned before I would hope you hold RCCA at a higher respect to think RCCA and their staff would scam the members. RCCA employees may like the sport but may not want to purchase an ELITE or any diecast for that matter. Even though some of you find it hard to believe, jobs are hard to come by and they have one. So at the end of the day it is a job. They work, they pull orders. Period.

This whole forum is in jeopardy of being shut down completely because topics are beginning to be ridicolous and not about collections, ideas and the sport overall. It has turned into a who can bash who and I personally don't have the time or energy to respond to ridiculous comments.

Thomas

Funny how they used to swear that RCCA did not know what serial numbers were on the cars, and that they were shipped randomly. Over the past year or so we have seen them mention how the boxes are stored in the warehouse numerically.

Thomas says that RCCA employees can purchase cars if they want to, but we are supposed to trust that none of them see a profit to be made by buying a car for $100 and selling it for more than that based on the low or door number. Whatever!

If I worked in that warehouse you can bet that I would be taking advantage of the opportunity to buy........

Im just over it. Id rather get the ARC stuff because there isnt much difference between them now. And actually I think the Chevys are more accurate as the ARC version since the Elite has a plastic or metal grill where the lower grill is painted on the nose. Ill still have to buy them though just in case there is a car like Smokes Homestead and Dega cars that ended up being RCCA exclusives

RCCA=Over-priced, completely lacking marketing ideas.

I find it funny that if it were not for our membership $$ and the sales they make, twits like this Thomas character and "Dr. Diecast." who is not a doctor and knows virtually nothing about collector's or diecast would not even have a job.

They are a joke. Threaten to shut down their (our forum)? Go ahead.

Sounds like you guys have hit the nail on the head, and they can't find a way to defend them selves. So it's easier to shut it down than to take the kids out of the candy store.
The answer to that issue would be to not allow ANYBODY access to the production numbers. No special treatment to ass kissing members, and everybody has the same chance of getting a desirable production numbered piece.
Close it down, it won't matter to me at all!!!

Well Kspool, I'm over there all the time. You've got to admit it got pretty nasty sometimes. But selfishly I hope they don't close it (which I know they never will) because I like the weekly deals and knowing if/where their souvenir trailer will be so they can sell me their product. If Thomas or Dr. D are unhappy they should just stay away let the inmates run the asylum.
