Default Here it is....07' CFS Champions Series die-cast

I just repaired the bad links to the pics. This is my newest pick-up. An 07 Dave Blaney "Cat" Camry CFS Champions Series COT.
I am overall pretty satisfied. It is basically a Team Caliber Preferred Series car, w/a few (very few) minor upgrades.
Note the Franklin Mint style box and the roof antenna. Other than that, like I said, TC Preferred. The mold is pretty nice not too fat in the middle like I always thought the TC Monte Carlos were. JMO...It looks alot like the MA Casting but sleeker. Overall, "Pretty Sweet".

Oh, BTW, the car is attached to the styrofoam w/plastic blocks and screws, ala the 1/16 T/F dragsters and 1/16 sheetmetal cars, but no problem removing the car. Phillips head screwdriver, and a few turns and it comes right out. Also no problem replacing it. The screws track nice and straight and go right back in place w/no hassle at all. Also, no cotton baggie on the car, it is right up against the styrofoam. I will be putting a bag on mine as I get them, just to be sure they are protected when in the box.

From what I just learned, MA is coming out "loaded for bear" w/their COT die-cast. I have been told that the splitter has the adjustment bars on them and the wing looks like carbon fiber. CFS will have to step up their detail game just a little, but I definately think they will be a player in this hobby. Wadda ya'll think?

I like the CFS cars alot. I love how the sytrofoam opens like that. My local dealer got the Mark martin standard car into today and I went to look at it. I would be very very interested in seeing the COT when you get it, as the only pic I have seen of them are the ones on ebay of the Robby Gordon car. I still like the MA cars more but I like the Blaney alot. I really dig the antenna on top. I will probably pick up one or two but will probably stick to the MA cars for now. Mainly the only ones I will get are Mayfields since MA isnt making it and Robby Gordon's COT if they still have them by the time we get to Charlotte next month at the haulers. Love the background btw I have the same on my comp and my PSP lol.

Yeah, I like it too. I will be getting the Mayfield COT from CFS also. It (the Cat) is a nice piece. What impressed me the most was, the box came shrink wrapped, and there were paper seals over the tabs on the box ends. The ends were like RC boxes, tab in slot. They are marked, if broken, product may have been tampered with, or something like that. The box was pristene, as was the styrofoam and the car. Very nice job on their part.

Nice looking piece you got there. From the pics it looks a helluva alot better then the MA Toyotas. I need to get my Mayfields ordered here soon.

About the only difference is the tooling is a little sleeker on the CFS, the plastic floorboards making it a lighter piece, and the hood and trunk lid hinges which I like, but alot of people have said they don't. Apparantly the like the old dogear hinges and that's what is on this car, as opposed to the realistic hinges on the MA Toyotas.
