So far for 2011 I'm pretty happy with the production #'s and what is being produced, But like others the # of different special finishes is redicoulous! It's getting to the point I would rather not collect them than to try and collect them all. So you tell me, Are there to many special finishes being produced? I say yes when people stop buying them instead of buying because there are too many different ones being done, One or two special finishes per paint scheme is way plenty, 5 or 6 special finishes for one paint scheme is flat out stupid.

Production numbers have been good this year. Mix has been good. Overall, quality could step up a notch. And not to rehash an old subject but get rid of the case with the raced wins and bring it down to a 59.99 level.

I agree, we do love they are making more cars and more schemes, but i also agree the special finishes are going overboard. We are special finish NUTS!!but damn, 7 or 8 special finishes of the same car is crazy!! how about a special finish for each of the different schemes?? RCCA is trying to kill me to with the super low numbers. i can appreciate limited but 1 0f 24?? 36?? or even worse 1 of 17??? come on, how is a collector suppose to try get complete his/her collection and compete against the scalpers with those kind of numbers!! finally i also agree they do need to get rid of the "case" thing from the raced wins. make it an option or something. :Driver:

They aren't making enough cars. Make all the regular paint schemes, and then worry about special paint schemes.

From 1997 to 2005 there were well over 200 different cars produced. I have 285 different cars for 2003 alone, and I only got one version- the RCCA Elite version. If I got the Club Car, Action Basic, and Winner's Circle versions, you're looking at at least 400 cars...In one year alone!

This year they are on track to make about 100 cars. Perhaps even less. With no other brands around, we hadn't seen the levels of car produced for the past two years since the 1980s, when there were NO companies doing cars. They have made good steps towards fixing that this year- but until we get at least one car from all the full time teams- it's not enough.

Totals do not count track cars, fantasy cars, or even the Trucks, which I have always listed seperatly for some unknown reason.

1996 may be over 200 cars as well, back then I didn't have access to the Action cars and the bodies were so horrible that I have not put much effort into tracking them down.

Special finishes don't affect 1/64 but I would not collect them if they did.
